Choosing your teak dining chairs
How many chairs fit my table?
Allow about 60cm of table edge for each dining chair without arms, and a little more (about 65cm) for a carver chair with arms. Our dining chairs have a seat height of 44–45cm, which suits standard garden dining tables.

What to look for in a quality teak dining chair
Solid heartwood, kiln-dried. The dense, oil-rich centre of the teak tree, dried so it stays stable outdoors. Every one of our dining chairs is solid, sustainably sourced, high-grade heartwood.
Weight. A quick test of how much teak is in a chair. Our Bali, Riverbank and Flores chairs weigh 9–10kg each, and each chair's weight is on its product page so you can compare.
Proper joinery. Look for chairs held together by mortise-and-tenon joints and hidden dowels rather than screws and brackets, so they stay rigid for years. Folding chairs need hinges to fold, so check the fittings are sturdy and rust-resistant: ours are brass.
The right height. A seat height of 44–45cm suits standard dining tables. Check carver arms too: our Flores carver's arms are 64cm high, so they tuck under our Lily tables and most dining tables, keeping the terrace tidy.
A guarantee that means it. Many garden chairs come with one to five years' cover. Our teak dining chairs have a 10-year guarantee.
Delivered ready to use. Our chairs arrive fully assembled, usually within 7 days, with no flat-pack fixings to tighten.

Yes. Our benches are kiln-dried heartwood teak and need no treatment. Left outside, teak weathers to a soft silver-grey within about six months, without losing strength.
